They say that Health Care insurance costs too much.
They don't tell us what it will cost us individually under the new plan so that we can make a comparison..They don't say what it will cover.
.it is just too high they say.

They say it costs too much under the current system...but the reason it cost so much is very much their fault.  They do not allow doctor liability suits to be limited,  They require insurance companies to cover gay partners and AIDS coverage.  They require mental illness counseling to be covered, Marriage counseling, Impotence coverage etc.  They require the insurance companies to cover all kinds of things..  All that significantly increases the cost of the coverage that they say is too high.  They don't allow simple catastrophic coverage.  They allow the AMA to determine and limit the number of Doctors it allows into the system to reduce competition for themselves.

That might be a function of the ever increasing amount of stuff they include under the health care cost umbrella. Here are some things that I would assume they now include: Boob jobs, plastic surgery, sex change operations, face lifts and tummy tucks, knee and hip replacements,  botox, Cialis, Blood thinning drugs, lipo-suction, gastric bipass operations, acupuncture, chiropractors, Cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, all dentistry, relationship counseling, family planning, insomnia medication, Liver/Heart transplants, birth control, wart and mole remover, ever increasing array and amount of fix-it drugs, prosthetic legs and arms, brain surgery, AIDS medication, Alcohol/Drug and Nicotine addiction treatment, gold teeth for street punks, toe nail fungus medication, physical therapy and massage therapy, hair transplants, feel-good pills, medical marijuana, fertility pills and test tube babies, abortions... etc.  If they are measuring total "health care" costs..and keep raising the bar as to what that includes...I'm sure it IS going up at a fairly high rate.

But ..
What they don't say is that under their plan, they can revoke all the insurance coverage requirements, limit law suits, limit what THEY will cover..and to whom.   Do you think they will cover ALL those things mentioned above?  Not a chance.

First they require insurance companies to cover everything under the sun..and do not lift one finger to help with liability/anti-competition concerns..then they say it costs too much.  So.. they take it over and remove all liability concerns and significantly reduce for themselves all the things they now require companies to cover.  It WOULDN'T be too expensive now if they were not causing it!!   They are NOT making an apples to apples comparison...in fact they tell us nothing..except that it is now too expensive and that something must be done about it.  There is only one solution in their argument: they must take it over.
